Who are Flexi?
Flexi is a WA owned and operated company that has been providing the people of Perth with beautifully functional custom designed cabinetry since 2001.
What can Flexi do?
Nearly everything! Flexi offers a wide range of custom designed wardrobes, home offices & study nooks, kitchens, home theatres & entertainment units, laundries & alfresco kitchens. We’ve also done home bars, wine cellars, linen cupboards, garage storage, bathroom vanities, home libraries, display cabinets and buffet units. If you have an idea for some in-built furniture, we would love to hear it!
I want to get a quote for some cabinetry. Can I just send through my plans?
What makes Flexi different to companies like Ikea and Bunnings?
Every single one of Flexi’s cabinets are custom designed to suit your needs. That means no dead space, or “filler” cabinets. We offer a personalised service from the moment you enquire until your new cabinets are installed and you’re 100% satisfied.
Where are your cabinets made?
We manufacture our cabinets in our Joondalup factories.
Do you have DIY options?
All of our projects are installed by our fully qualified tradespeople, saving you the time and effort of a DIY install.
I received a cheaper quote. Will you negotiate?
If you can provide a written quote detailing the inclusions so we can ensure the product is like-for-like, we’ll gladly do our best to match it.
What materials do you use?
Flexi source only the best materials available, and is proud to use products from Laminex, Formica, Polytec, Hettich, Hafele, Silestone, Stone Ambassador and many more! Ask your designer for more information if you’d like to know who all of our suppliers are.
I’m building or doing a large home renovation. When should I get Flexi to install my cabinets?
It’s best for Flexi to be the last trade in there so that your new cabinets don’t get damaged. It also means that you won’t have gaps in your paintwork or flooring should the cabinetry ever need to be removed.
Once I place my order, how long will it be until my Flexi cabinets are installed?
As a rule, it usually takes about four weeks from the date an order is placed until we come to install your new cabinets. This can sometimes be sooner, or longer if you’ve requested any special-order items. We will phone you once your order is received to discuss a suitable installation date.
How long will the installation take?
Wardrobes, home offices & other small projects are usually installed in one day. Larger areas and kitchens can take a bit longer, but we will discuss this when we call to arrange a suitable installation date.
I have an existing shelf & rail in my wardrobe. Will Flexi remove this when they come to install my wardrobe?
Yes, we can remove & dispose of your existing wardrobe shelf & rail but it’s important to note that we don’t patch or paint the walls.
Can Flexi remove my existing kitchen/laundry prior to installing my new kitchen/laundry?
Is there somewhere I can go to see examples of your products?
TV shows such as The Block and House Rules can renovate a kitchen in less than a week. Will my kitchen be ready in this time frame?
Not in real life! We’ve created a great infographic that details just how long a kitchen renovation can take, but it does depend a lot on the materials you select. It can be as little as a few days, or it could be 4-6 weeks. If you have a timeframe that you need the renovation completed in, discuss it with your designer during your consultation so we can assist you in selecting the right materials.
I’m worried about my new floors/freshly painted walls getting damaged. How do your installers avoid damaging my home?
Our installers take great care in ensuring they leave your home in the same condition it was in when they arrived. Any cutting required will be done outside, and drop sheets are always placed on the floors to protect them. If large panels require installing, we ensure to have two people on site to carry them.
What are your payment terms?
Flexi operates according to the Home Building Contracts Act, and all jobs over $7,500 will require a 6.5% deposit, followed by progress payments at various stages of the works. Jobs below $7,500 require a 30% deposit and the balance is paid the day prior to the installation.
Do you offer finance or payment plans?
Yes, we can assist with finance. Just ask your designer during your consultation.
What sort of warranty do you offer?
All our products come with excellent warranty terms. We have a 10-year guarantee on our workmanship, and a lifetime warranty on all moving parts such as drawer runners and hinges. Our contracts detail the manufacturers warranties of individual materials, which vary from 7 years to 15 years.
Who will be my contact during my kitchen renovation?
All kitchen renovations over $15,000 will have a dedicated project manager who will be your contact person throughout the project. For kitchens under $15,000, you will be able to call our Production Department for ongoing updates.
How will I know when each stage of work will happen during my kitchen renovation?
Your project manager will provide you with a detailed project plan that has the intended schedule of works mapped out so you will know who will be coming & what day they’re scheduled to be there.
